WHERE

The Hut is located in the beautiful Val Duron, looking Sasso Piatto peaks and is base of many hikes. It can be reached by foot from Campitello di Fassa in one hour, or by the Col-Rodella cable car, passing along Sasso Piatto and then descending to Val Duron. Heaps of mountain-bike excursions. Once you arrive at the Micheluzzi you can admire meadows of a thousand colours, starting point for many enchanting walks through the Catinaccio, Antermoia, Alpe di Siusi and Sasso Piatto groups.

OUR HISTORY

At the end of the 19th century it consisted of a typical Fassa-style stable, dedicated to sheltering animals, with the "tobià" for storing hay. Owned by Barbara (Berbola) and Luigi Rizzi de Ferat, the latter famous mountain guide remembered for various hazardous hikes and for many years the favorite mountain guide of King of Belgium. Later, the hut was inherited by one of the couple's daughters, Maria Orsola Rizzi married to Battista Micheluzzi (Tita). Here they spent their summers with their four daughters for grazing and haymaking, formerly known as "Malga Rifugio Micheluzzi" which gave refreshment and hospitality to passing people and excellent hand-whipped cream. Over the years, the building was increasingly enlarged and improved. From the 80s and for 12 years it was managed with skill by one of the daughters Carmen with their children Graziano and Adriana. With the death of Battista Micheluzzi (Tita), the refuge passes into the hands of the second child Adalgisa Micheluzzi married to Marco Bernard de Bernardo. Since 1992 managed and renovated by the Bernard, Marco and Adalgisa family and by their children Nadia, Erwin, Davide and Ivana. The completely renovated refuge, with its traditional mountain "hut" aesthetics, will make you enjoy a warm and familiar atmosphere. Inside, the bar, the dining room and the room completely covered in wood; our family kitchen will certainly surprise you, allowing to taste our typical dishes on our two terraces: one infront of the entrance and the other on the back, letting you feel immersed in nature.. There are 8 rooms available for our guests in order to regenerate body and mind.
